What the book is about
Drawing from her experiences as both a mother and a pediatrician, the book offers heartfelt insights into the transformative journey of motherhood. Filled with wisdom, love, and the joys and challenges of raising children, it aims to inspire and support you on your own path into motherhood.
Each chapter provides guidance on how to care for a newborn by explaining almost every problem a new mother encounters during the first few days after her child’s birth. Each chapter then closes with a self-evaluation about the impact of parental emotions and thoughts on children.
This book does not intend to just serve as a guidebook, but rather challenges parents to think about how their children can be the most fundamental change in their lives.From the back cover
Why two languages
Dr. Fresno immigrated to the United States from Argentina in 1981 and trained as a pediatric resident in Flint, Michigan, becoming a mother during her internship. Her own journey deepened her empathy for immigrant families—so the book was written with cultural sensitivity, and published in both English and Spanish.
